What’s the difference between a Salt-Free Conditioner & Water Softner?
The difference between a Water Softener System and a Salt-Free Water Conditioner is the Water Softener is dependent on utilizing salt to remove hard minerals from the water. In a Salt-Free Water Conditioner System, the minerals are not removed but instead it’s chemical structure is modified so the minerals do not stick to surfaces.
Note: Some people will refer to a “Salt-Free Water Conditioner” as a “Salt-Free Water Softener” for marketing purposes, but this is technically not correct.
